There are many items for the gardener that can be grown in containers. Outdoor planters are used for planting tomatoes, peppers, green onions, green beans, radishes, parsley, Cucumbers, and eggplants just to name a few type of vegetables. Gardening using containers are convenient, mobile and simple. For the early bird gardeners they can plant vegetables at a time when there is still snow on the ground.
Watch the plants start to grow inside and then when the weather gets warmer replant the products outside in a garden. This will provide extra crops for the picking. For the gardener that has a space problem. Hanging plants are a solution and saves a lot of space. Window sill, balcony or a patio are other areas that do provide adequate space for a productive mini-garden. The ease of management of the containers is evident. Plants need some care to help them grow and containers make it easier to add fertilizer and then mix in the soil. Plants need to be watered once a week. Almost all vegetable plants grow better in full sunlight verses in the shade. Vegetables growing in a garden may develop diseases from various types of insects. Container Gardening will protect most from insects and diseases that are common to a regular garden.
