The Right Watering System

There are many different watering systems for gardens and lawns. But finding the right way to water a variety of different plants that have separate requirements can be tricky. Different plants require different levels of shade and sun shine as well as water and fertilizer. There are many types of watering systems that can be utilized for this purpose.

Sprinkler systems that are dug into the yard before planting are often used to water large lawns. There are still areas that these types of watering systems can miss altogether. This then requires some watering by hand or with a separate sprinkler that can be placed in a specific area on top of the grass. For areas that are closer to the house and have a smaller area to cover often what is commonly called a Bubble system, or a "bubbler". This type of sprinkler keeps the water closer to the ground and does not fan out so large, keeping the water contained to an area such as a flower bed.

Many people will choose hand watering over these systems to make sure that the area is covered evenly and completely. While this takes more time to do, there are benefits for both you and the yard. You may need to do some extra hand watering on those difficult areas that are not covered well by the sprinklers. This will help prevent those pesky brown spots from spreading and will also help maintain the level of moisture in the ground.
